The Des Moines Kennel
Club is an All Breed club dedicated to improving the
health, temperament and quality of purebred dogs. We
are a diverse group of dog lovers who share the common
interest of raising, training, breeding and competing
with our purebred dogs.

DMKC sponsors educational programs,
training classes and health clinics, as well as responsible
breeder locator services. An annual all breed show is held in
September.
Meetings
Regular meetings are held on the first Tuesday of
each month at 7:30 p.m. The location of meetings is the Northwest
Community Center, 5110 Franklin Ave., Des Moines. Visitors
are always welcome!

DMKC to participate
in AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day

The Des Moines
Kennel Club will host an AKC Responsible Dog
Ownership Day event on Sept. 6, 2008, in conjunction
with the All-Breed Show at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
A Meet and Greet will be held from 8
a.m. to 5 p.m.

Come meet and
greet some of AKC's 158 breeds that will be attending
the show. Talk to experienced breeders and owners
to find the right breed for your lifestyle or
get care tips for your current dogs.
